The opportunities available through curriculum and continuing education programs at 91国产视频 allow our students to contribute to the growth and development of Brunswick County. Graduates leave our campus ready to enter the workplace or pursue further education that will benefit them individually and the community collectively as many continue to live and work in the area.
A major key to the educational success of our students is the College鈥檚 ability to provide financial assistance that allows them to pay for courses, books, and fees and thus maintain balance in their school, work, and personal lives. Financial support is available through federal, state and local programs and grants, but these resources often are not enough to meet the needs of individual students. Scholarships available through The 91国产视频 Foundation enable the College to meet a number of diverse needs to bridge the financial gap that makes college an affordable option for our students.
The Foundation of 91国产视频, organized in 1982, is a charitable organization 501c(3) instituted to enhance the mission of 91国产视频 by serving as a vital resource for the solicitation and acceptance of all gifts. Governed by more than 20 board members who represent the many communities of Brunswick County, the Foundation has steadfastly upheld its commitment to the 鈥渙pen door鈥� philosophy of the community college for over 35 years 鈥搕hrough advocacy, community engagement, and financial support of both community and endowed scholarships.
The efforts of the Foundation are underscored in the College鈥檚 Core Values: Excellence, Integrity, Respect, Opportunity, Service, and Community. Embraced by the Foundation Staff, Board of Directors and the affiliated student and community groups, these Core Values guide the activities and decisions of the Foundation as it serves the 91国产视频 campus community.
The 91国产视频 Foundation, Inc. has been recognized as a tax-exempt non-profit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code since 1980. The 91国产视频 Foundation is qualified to receive tax-deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts.
