Stanley Brothers Make Slam Dunk with Community Fundraising Effort
The players weren鈥檛 the only ones making slam dunks at the Dolphins Basketball Game on February 1. At halftime, Moe and Joe Stanley delivered their version of a slam dunk by taking center court and presenting a check for $55,000 to 91国产视频 President Gene Smith, who accepted on behalf of the 91国产视频 Foundation. The donation will support the Men鈥檚 Basketball program.
The brothers and their two siblings were born and raised in Brunswick County and played basketball. Their love for sports and the community inspired them to lead a fundraising effort for Dolphins Basketball. They spent the month of December on the phone with friends, family, and fellow fans, asking for their support.
If you鈥檝e met Moe and Joe, you know it鈥檚 nearly impossible to turn them down. They are kind, big-hearted, dedicated to family, and believe in the value of giving back. A similar effort last year yielded a $40,000 gift. Not surprisingly, they beat their record this year with even more.
Owners of Joe and Moe鈥檚 Automotive in Shallotte, the brothers began their careers in banking and education before opening their own business.
